Hey everyone, welcome back to another Solo Leveling: Arise video! Today, I'm diving into a major achievement I reached on my free-to-play account – defeating POS 10 Hard Yogumunt. Last night, I spent some time live streaming my journey through Proof of the Strong, level 10, while unlocking the Yoga icon and completing all endgame content available as a free-to-play player.
In this video, I'll be sharing the full breakdown of how I achieved this, the setup I used, the characters and hunters involved, and the specific strategies that helped me increase my power to beat the boss. It wasn’t an easy feat—this required quite a bit of finesse, but I’ll walk you through exactly what I did and how you can replicate it if you’re also playing for free. So, let’s dive in!
Before we get started, a quick reminder: the content creator program is coming to a close. You’ve got one week left to grab some free codes. If you’d like to support me, please check them out. It helps me continue bringing you free-to-play content. Thanks to all my supporters, especially the top 10 players: JTO, Sod 544, Taco, Tell 101, Cap 640, Kaiser 057077. Much love, and I’ll keep supporting you too!
The Setup
Let’s break down the team and gear setup I used for this fight. Just to clarify, this is POS 10, and I’m playing as a free-to-play player. Here’s the setup that helped me get the job done.
Characters and Hunters Used
For the team, I went with the following:
-
Stormbringer and DKD as key damage dealers.
-
Sunjun for tanking and supporting.
-
Min and Cha as shadow support.
Gear and Armor
In terms of armor, I opted for:
-
Obsidian set (could be Expert, but I’m pretty sure I used Obsidian).
-
Wind Bracers to boost wind damage.
For blessing stones:
-
Ultimate (Legendary)
-
High-Speed Rotation (Legendary)
-
Vacuum Wave (Legendary)
-
Collapse (Heroic)
-
Squall (Heroic)
-
Reawakening (Mythic)
-
Pulverize (Mythic)
-
Bloodlust (Mythic)
-
Boss Slayer (Mythic)
I also made sure to equip whatever mythic blessings I had for additional power boosts.
Cores and Stats
For cores:
-
Focus on Attack Percentage, Crit Damage, HP, and Defensive Stats.
-
I didn’t have mana issues with Sunjun, so I used the red core for extra power and HP.
Shadows Used
-
Igris (for paralyze)
-
Servy (to support)
-
Bestie (for extra buffs)
For additional support, I also used Cha, Saurin, and Min. The key thing to note is that Cha had an A8 weapon, while my water Cha had A5, which gave me an edge in terms of power.
Power Level
My power level was at 2.339, which is crucial for this fight. I also focused on making sure my cores and blessings were set up to maximize damage.
The Fight Breakdown
Now, let’s go through the steps of the fight itself.
Early Phase (0-84.5%)
-
Start by dodging and using Saurin’s skill to apply the debuff on Yogumunt. This helps boost break damage.
-
Summon your shadows to apply combustion, branded, and paralyze effects. This will set you up for the first few breaks.
-
Use your Vacuum Wave carefully – if you wait too long, Yogumunt will use a bounce-back move. Shadow Step behind him to avoid it.
-
Focus on breaking him down to 84.5% by 3:59 or 3:58 to prepare for the next phase.
Mid-Phase (84.5%-50%)
-
Once you reach 84.5%, avoid attacking during Yogumunt’s casting phase, as you won’t be able to damage him.
-
Dodge his orb attacks by shadow stepping to the correct side, and focus on using Stormbringer + DKD rotations.
-
Make sure to keep Unrecoverable debuff active before transitioning to the next phase to prevent him from recovering HP.
Final Phase (50%-0%)
-
When Yogumunt hits 50%, he will bring out the crystal. This is a critical moment – you need to dodge orbs and shadow step onto the crystal to maximize your damage.
-
After breaking the crystal, continue your regular rotations, and avoid being hit by his pushback move, as it’s an instant kill.
-
Keep your rotations consistent and avoid using DKD too early.
-
Timing is key – ensure that you’re pushing him to the next phase with as little downtime as possible.
Important Tips
-
Make sure you’ve reached the minimum required power to avoid penalties such as lower crit, damage, and break efficiency.
-
Skill up your shadows to maximize your power output. This will help you deal extra damage and handle the boss more efficiently.
-
Don’t rush the phases. It’s important to let certain attacks go off before you perform your next skill rotation.
Conclusion
Beating POS 10 Hard Yogumunt as a free-to-play player takes patience, skill, and the right setup. While it’s not an easy task, it is absolutely doable with the right team, gear, and strategy. By focusing on boosting your damage output, using the right shadows, and managing your timing, you can defeat Yogumunt and tackle one of the toughest challenges in Solo Leveling: Arise.
Feel free to adjust the setup based on your characters, but always aim to reach that minimum power threshold and keep your rotations sharp.
Good luck out there, and happy gaming!
