Even after nearly 100 hours into the game and restarting a few new runs, I’m still finding hidden weapons, powers, and special interactions. This guide will walk you through some of the best early game weapons, secret powers, and hidden unlockables you definitely don’t want to miss.

How To Grab One of the Strongest Early Game Weapons

When you first reach Gestral Village Arena during the story, pay close attention—you only get one shot at snagging a seriously powerful sword. Here’s the deal:

Your final match will pit you against Sel. Depending on which character wins this fight, you’ll get a different weapon reward. But not all rewards are equal.

Here’s What Happens Based On Who Wins:

Lun Wins: You get Traim. Honestly, not that impressive. You probably already picked it up earlier from the Ancient Sanctuary map. Winning here just bumps it to level 5—meh.
Gustav Wins: He gets Sakuram, but same deal—likely you already have it. Another upgrade to level 5 that doesn’t really help much.
Myel Wins (Best Choice): Now we're talking! If Myel beats Sel, she gets Melum, which is one of the best early weapons in the game.

Outside Esqua’s Lair: Hard to miss.
Near Stonewave Cliffs: Keep right when paths split.
